Add linking to Steam back
For the past months we have been able to link our Blacksmith account to the Steam account. However with the new patch it is no longer possible.
I think this is bad, it has been summer and not everyone was playing. I personally have linked my account but not all my friends.
They bought the game long ago, so it feels a bit unfair that they only had 1 hour of warning.
I also think it’s better for Ironmace, the more ppl use Steam, the less bandwidth they have to spend on Blacksmith and people downloading there.
Help me bring back this option, or at least an answer why it isn’t feasible anymore.
Thank you

So, the question becomes: Why, IRONMACE? Why turn your back on the community that supported you when times were tough? Why take away a feature that only served to strengthen your player base’s loyalty and connection to the game? If this change was necessary due to technical reasons or platform policies, we deserve a transparent and detailed explanation. We aren’t just customers—we are a community that has rallied behind you when you needed us most.
We kindly ask for one of two things: Either bring back the option to link Blacksmith accounts to Steam or provide a clear, honest explanation as to why this feature is no longer feasible. Your community deserves this level of respect, and we are hopeful that you will address this issue in a way that honors the relationship you’ve built with your players. -

<Hidden>Took a break and was excited to finally set it up on steam to play new season and now its gone. If I have to maintain blacksmith it's likely I won't play anymore as I've got a bunch of stuff on that account

<Hidden>I’m writing to express my deep concern and disappointment over the recent decision to remove the ability to link Blacksmith accounts with Steam accounts. This change, without prior notice or a sufficient grace period, has left many of your most dedicated and long-standing players feeling disregarded, especially those who stood by the game during its most difficult times.
It was no secret that when your game faced its challenges—during bans and uncertainty—it was this very community that kept the lights on. We stood by you. We bought the game in early stages, recommended it to friends, and stayed engaged, despite all odds. Why? Because we believed in you, IRONMACE, and what you stood for. You presented a bold vision for this game and its future, and we wanted to be a part of that journey with you.
Now, with this recent patch, you’ve effectively closed the door on a vital feature—Blacksmith to Steam account linking—that many of us saw as a bridge between the early adopters and the wide -

<Hidden>wider gaming community. It feels as if you’re turning your back on those who were here from the start, those who believed in your game before it found its footing again on mainstream platforms.
This decision seems even more baffling given that linking accounts is beneficial not only for players, but for IRONMACE itself. The more players migrate to Steam, the less burden there is on Blacksmith's infrastructure. More Steam users mean fewer resources needed to manage downloads, and it opens up opportunities for better integration and stability in the long run. It simply makes sense to encourage the move, not prevent it.
Let's not forget that not everyone has had the time to link their accounts. We’re coming out of a summer season when many people were busy with vacations, personal obligations, or just taking a break from gaming. To give only a one-hour notice for a major change like this? That’s not just inconvenient—it’s unfair. -

<Hidden>IRONMACE needs to be transparent with their customers as to why this feature was taken away, and when it will return. Personally speaking, I don't want to play an unfinished game (especially GAAS) and just wanted to support the split from NEXON and the legal battle they were engaged in. Now that they've crossed that bridge and the game is more complete, they decide to punish players who took a break or just didn't link in time. There are countless benefits for both the user and IRONMACE to port everyone to steam.
At the end of the day there is a set number of Blacksmith accounts that have not been ported over. This number is known to them. The expenses should be budgeted out and set aside for any FOUNDING CUSTOMER who supported them from the start in order to port their account to steam. -
