Add the old tavern as a practice location
You can spawn there with your squad (no other players allowed). You can test out your gear against the dummy, consumables don't get consumed so you can practice playing with Ale. And fighting your friends till death gives you all your items back after respawn.
Additionally you can add the damage numbers to player hits as well to see how the Damage reduction is working, but this could be in a later installment.
Don't allow picking up items being a thing, players should still have to trade after level 10 or risk losing it in a match.
This Area would also be the perfect playground for competitive 1v1 fights.

<Hidden>I feel like a more fun idea would have the ability to have public lobbies that people just hang out in, can play minigames at the tables but also still has the training room like before. Could even allow people to request trade there instead of inspect. It'd be better when voice chat comes back.
The lobbies shouldn't be started by players but instead just be rooms, when a room becomes full a new room is created. Players would beable to join as a group or on their own. -

<Hidden> MergedIt would be great to have training grounds where you can try multiple builds with your items, so that you don't have to go in a dungeon and risk losing them before you are comfortable with the perks and skills you chose. It would be great to have, now, at least a room with a dummy where you can either change your perks/skills or be able to exit without losing your items. Or another interesting feature would be to have an improved Gathering Hall, or more of a social hub, where you can sit with people and maybe also have training dummies there, so that will eliminate the need of a training ground. And the social hub could take place in the lobbies already used or past lobbies, like the tavern in A4. I believe the so called social hub would help with people looking for groups, trading, and training(if there are added dummies).

Adding a Custom lobby or a Training Ground Area ( features list ) :
- A nice plane grassy Lobby much like the waiting lobby pre-match.
you can make it a bit smaller and focus on the essentials.
- To keep it simple, Add 1 dummy on the front of the center ,assumably like 5m in-front of the center, if we would spawn in a consistent place. (Like in Mordhau).
(This would be a great starting step to the future of the Training Grounds.
and here are more plans for this option to be even greater and with reasons why...
you can add in the future 2 more dummies and make them 3 dummies in a row or maybe in different cardinal directions. e.g. East would be a naked dummy 0 resistances, South would be the second dummy with 100armor 40 magic resist, the West would have a dummy with 200armor and 100mr.)
and the reasons to why im suggesting this have multiple outcomes beneficial for both you the devs and us the community.

<Hidden> MergedWe need a room without a timer that we can enter and leave at will , that has Target dummies, for testing different builds , before entering a Game/Match, so you do lose your gear while testing to see which pants fit better.

<Hidden> MergedNo reason to not have it. I would not make it a dev time priority but it would be cool to have at some point. I would appreciate if dummies were added they better simulate players in different types of gear / classes. Most games throw dummies in and it's good for math testing but not really for the effect vs players since they usually have 0 defense or even lesss.

<Hidden> MergedThis would be very nice. The game has some of the worst tooltips I've ever seen, where it doesn't say the damage, cooldown, range, etc. There is so much missing information. With a training ground, I can finally know how far chain lightning goes, for example.

<Hidden>This is a great idea. Similar to offline raids in escape from tarkov. Basically players will just get all their gear back after the lobby is exited, it would be impossible to trade items/lose items during this lobby. I don't think an offline mode for the actual dungeons would be good because it gives people the opportunity to practice bosses and find ways to cheese.

This would allow players to try move sets, skills, gear combos, and the chance to get to know their class prior to jumping into a dungeon. This would also allow players to connect directly with GMs on any issues when working out power balances and etc.

<Hidden>Guys we need a city. We need non instanced player housing. Then you can buy a arena addition, (or loot the schematic off a boss) and have that lobby inside of your house! Imagine trading with people using voip. Shit is un fucking real.

There are plenty of weapons I have not touched because I either don't find them in the match or don't want to pay gold to purchase from a merchant only to lose it because I don't understand how it feels to play.
It adds to new player friction and makes the game more unapproachable.
A solo instance with a dummy is the minimum but adding the ability for others to join or be invited is almost required. The area should also have some boxes, barrels, traps, etc so folks can practice various mechanics. -

<Hidden>Open a tavern map its a 30 player map where theres no time limit, you can leave at anytime and keep gear. There is three things this provides: the main one is a place where you can hangout with your avatar showing off gear/inventory etc. (not only that you can do physical trades with players in the tavern), second is fun friendly pvp part on the map that allows you to request duels that'll put you in an arena(This is where there can be different map variations, for instance one pvp ground is a flat boxing ring, and another one can be a physical part of the tavern with smashable boxes and ale that can only be picked up and drank during the duel). With this arena you can have ante fight system(for players fighting n watching) for the duel, so like i said you wont lose your gear but you can bet anything. Note there will be the local goblin clerk(random gears goblin merchant) at the bar drink if you talk to him he can do IOWEYOUs and act your bank by having a bag of infite holding on him

<Hidden>Remove the prelobby completely. Don't need to see each other before a match, what gear they have and whatnot. Just hit start and it goes into queue without leaving the main screen. So you can sit in the main screen and still manage stuff while sitting in queue.
Instead make the tavern a place you can physically go to in the current gathering hall tab instead of these dead chatrooms. Then players can actually go there and interact with each other. They can also test weapons on the dummies in the basement and whatnot. There they can also have voice chat as well as a interact function to invite to party, add as freind, etc. -

<Hidden>I came here to make the same suggestion. Need a training area outside the start lobby. It would be so helpful for players to experiment with weapons, builds, and stat understanding. Some of the other comments also have some good suggestions to encourage people meeting up, this would help solos find parties easier and such. It would also allow the community to communicate beyond battle banter just in game.
I’ve been waiting since before release for a training area. It’s annoying when you load in with gear you’re unsure of and trying to test it on the dummy when you load in quick or other players are trying to crowd the dummy and do the same lol. -

<Hidden>add a whole town with the merchants as actual characters with a lobby system centered around the tavern with a tavern master, a place for the trade market(like the grand exchange in runescape), add an 1v1 arean were u can fight/test your gear without losing it, have an actual stash or chest you go to. basically convert all of the ui elements on the main menu to in game counterparts. this would bring the atmosphere like in the loading screens with proximity chat it would feel like a busling town.

<Hidden>We need to add something like our own houses. A city with an adventure guild. Place relics and weapons in racks and chests in the house. Meet friends, train and do crafts. Buy store-bought finishes for furniture and walls. I hope all this is in the future.
